Tången has entered into an agreement to acquire 80 percent of the shares in Compab Energiteknik AB, a leading supplier of complete combustion and boiler plants. Following completion of the transaction, Compab will become part of Tången’s Industrial Technology business area.
Compab adapts, supplies and commissions complete combustion and boiler plants based on customer requirements. The company also provides service and spare parts and has a strong position in the aftermarket.
Its customers are primarily found within power and district heating, the process industry, the food industry and hospitals. Compab works with several of Europe’s leading manufacturers and offers broad expertise across technologies and fuel types.
The company is headquartered in Kungälv, has annual revenue of just over SEK 100 million and approximately 10 employees.
“Compab has deep technical expertise and a very strong position in a growing niche market. The company fits very well with our investment strategy and broadens our Industrial Technology business area into a new technical niche,” says Nina Bergman, CEO of Tången.
Tången is acquiring 80 percent of the shares in Compab. Key employees will remain shareholders following the transaction.
