Tången is an investment company with a long-term ownership horizon, operating across four business areas: Industry, Services, Energy, and Real Estate. We invest in companies with proven profitability and healthy cash flows, providing opportunities for stable growth over time. Our head office is located in Gothenburg, but our operations span across the Nordics. Tången is growing both organically and through acquisitions, and we are now looking to strengthen our team with a Head of Business Area, focusing on governance and support for our portfolio companies.
Responsibilities and tasks
As Head of Business Area, you will work closely with the CEOs and management teams of our portfolio companies, providing governance and strategic support. You will actively contribute to strategic initiatives related to business development, efficiency improvements, and profitability. Other key responsibilities include driving cross-company projects in areas such as digitalization, sustainability, and organizational development. You will also play an important role internally at Tången, refining processes and methods for how we best develop the companies in our portfolio.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking someone who is driven by developing companies and enjoys working close to the business. You thrive in environments where the focus is on creating growth and results together with others, and you are comfortable shifting between strategic and operational issues. To succeed with us and our companies, you are a strong collaborator, humble, and grounded – combined with sound judgment and personal maturity.
You have a relevant academic background and experience from similar responsibilities. Experience in strategy and board work, as well as working through other managers, is highly valuable.
Your background could include one of the following:
- CEO of a mid-sized company
- Entrepreneur or management consultant
- Investment Manager or equivalent role
- Head of Business Area or Business Development Manager
